Canterbury Golf Club is less than half a mile from the Evenhill. This is a fantastic golf course set in undulating wooded parkland, with a number of outstanding holes.

Founded in 1906 Prince’s consists of three nine hole courses of championship quality. These courses were constructed in 1949 following the devastation of the old Open Championship course during the war. With gentle sand dunes Prince’s is not as overwhelming as neighbouring Royal St. George’s.

Royal St. Georges Golf Club

Royal St. George’s was the first golf course outside Scotland to host the Open Championship in 1894. The Open Championship was held here in 2003, for the 13 th time – more than any other English club. The course provides a severe test of golf as it is heavily bunkered and exceptionally narrow with many blind shots.

The beautiful club house dates from the 15 th Century and the golf course has been updated by Donald Steel. The 1 st and the 18 th are very attractive holes, although the most challenging holes are on Shrub Hill.

This is a tough golf course on high ground overlooking the sea. The 8 th, 17 th and 18 th are particularly demanding 450 yard uphill holes and two of the short holes, the 14 th and 16 th, are very attractive, playing towards the sea.
